John Greenwell is an experienced, successful National Sporting Clays Association Certified Level II Shooting Instructor, with over five years and 1,500 hours of one-on-one teaching experience. He has been featured in nine shotgun-related articles published in
The Arizona Republic. He is an active NSCA "AA" class competitor
.
He specializes in new, beginning and intermediate shooters. His instruction:
- Improves a student's understanding of shotgun safety, guns, shells and shooting techniques
- Improves a student's clay target and wingshooting skills
- Builds confidence in the student's ability to understand the target's line or trajectory, make a correct move to the target, and apply the trust necessary to pull the trigger at the right time.
He is also an upland bird hunter, which allows him to translate the skills learned shooting clay targets to wingshooting situations.
He teaches at the Arizona Game & Fish Department's Ben Avery Clay Target Center located approximately at Interstate 17 and the Carefree Highway just north of Phoenix.
